Mid South Spring Gathering

On 2016 April 02, five members of MLUUC attending the Mid South Spring Gathering hosted by Emerson UU Congregation of Marietta GA. The morning keynote address, “Covenant”, was presented by Southern Region Congregational Staff member Connie Goodbread.

After a delightful box lunch. There were three workshops: Social Justice / Witness / Black Lives Matter, with Rev. Carton Elliot Smith, was attended by Helen Greene; Stewardship, with Rev. Kenneth G. Hurto, was attended by Gayle Wood and Tom Norris; and Leadership as Spiritual Practice, with Maggie Lovins, was attended by Terry Woehr and Kasey Castleberry.

We ran into some old friends and past guest ministers, and we made new friends during the course of the day.
