Sunday, August 28

Mountain Light Universalist Unitarian Church is offering the community an opportunity to get to know our church.  Are you curious about what guides Unitarian Universalists to follow their faith? If so, join us this Sunday, August 28, as long-time member, Kasey Castleberry, brings to us, a talk entitled “A Spiritual Response to Hate and Ignorance”.  If you have ever found yourself in an awkward position where mean-spirited or misinformed attitudes have made you uncomfortable and you felt unsure of how to respond, then this program is for you. Learn how to practice “standing on the side of love”. The seven principles that guide our faith can help you achieve an understanding of this practice.
The church is located at 2502 Tails Creek Rd./Hwy 282 W in Ellijay. We are just past the fire station. Look for the sign.
We have classes for school-aged children. Classes meet the second and fourth Sunday of each month. We have a growing and active teen group.
Our service begins at 10:30 proceeded by coffee, sweets, and conversation at 10:00. You will be greeted by friendly folks. Please dress casual.
Mountain Light is a welcoming congregation. This simply means, that people of any faith, ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, or financial means are welcome to join our church family. We accept you as you are. We believe that every person is important, should be treated fairly and should be accepted. That’s what its all about. Blessings!
