UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISTS

Unitarian Universalists are brave, curious, and compassionate thinkers and doers. We are diverse in faith, ethnicity, history, and spirituality, but we are aligned in our desire to make a difference for the good. We have a track record of being on the side of love, justice, and peace.

We have radical roots and a history as self-motivated spiritual people: we think for ourselves and recognize that life experience influences our beliefs more than anything.

We need not think alike to love alike. We are people of many beliefs and backgrounds: people with a religious background, people with none, people who believe in a God, people who don’t, and people who let the mystery be.

We are Unitarian Universalist and Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, atheist and agnostic, believers in God, and more.

MOUNTAIN LIGHT UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH

Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church is a “small but mighty” congregation.  Our Sunday services typically include 50-75 attendees, and many people attend our various activities and volunteer opportunities. We were officially founded in March 2000, moved into our current building in 2012, and in 2026 we paid off the mortgage.

We are a lay-led congregation. This means our members govern themselves, without a regular paid minister. For Sunday services, we host (and compensate) ministers from a variety of backgrounds, as well as other speakers. Our own members are some of our favorite speakers with wisdom and insights from their own life experiences.

Our congregation hosts many activities and events for connection and fellowship. Many of our members support our projects in the local community and advocating for social justice.

We at Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church are a Welcoming Congregation, on the forefront of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer inclusion for more than 25 years.  We are people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

We seek to welcome you: your whole self, with all your truths and your doubts, your worries and your hopes. Join us on this extraordinary adventure of faith. Get involved!
