Rev. Dillard is a Professor of Rhetoric at GA College & State University in Milledgeville. He has a Bachelor's in Speech Communication from Blackburn College and an M.S. and PhD in Speech Communication (Performance Studies) from Southern Illinois University.

His areas of expertise and interest are performance studies, narrative, queer theory, gay spirituality, and service-learning.

Rev. Dillard is also the former Dean of the Mountain School for Congregational Leadership. He is an ordained Interfaith Minister who speaks in Unitarian pulpits throughout the Southeast.

Scott and his partner, Chris Lamphere, live in Milledgeville, Georgia. They have one amazing dog, a Schnauzer name Belle.

Dr. Scott Dillard is an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric at Georgia College and State University. His areas of expertise and interest are performance studies, narrative, queer theory, gay spirituality, and service-learning. His education includes a Ph.D. and M.S. in Speech Communication (Performance Studies) from Southern Illinois University; B.A. in Speech Communication from Blackburn College. His recent scholarly/professional publications and/or presentations include Breathe With Me, a one-person show performed at GC&SU and Lake Superior State University, and a new performance at Easton Mountain for the HIV Storytelling Weekend.

He is also the former Dean of the Mountain School for Congregational Leadership.

Dr. Dillard is an ordained Interfaith Minister who fills UU pulpits throughout the Southeast, including here at Mountain Light UUC, every other month.
