When We Wend Homeward

When we wend homeward to our land,
like dreamers we shall be;
like leaping rivers in the spring
we'll joyful be and free!

For though our sowing work is hard,
and tears do freely flow,
on harvest day we'll shoulder sheaves,
our hearts will overflow!

Words: Psalm 126
Music: American folk melody, arranged by Annabel Morris Buchanan
