Terry Woehr

Terry Woehr A native Floridian, Terry Woehr an active, vigorous member of the Mountain Light UUC congregation.

Her earlier years were spent in banking where she started as a bookkeeper and reached the position of Corporate Secretary and Branch Manager. Along the way, Terry became the doting mother of her now-grown daughter, Kathy. In addition, Terry earned degrees in Psychology and Human Services and has earned credit toward a Masters degree in Social Work.

As a lifelong pro-choice, women's rights advocate, Terry took part in several marches in Washington. In addition, she was involved with a prison program developed by the Quakers where she spent many a Saturday inside the Wyoming Correctional Facility, a medium-security prison, facilitating anger management groups.

Most of us know of Terry and Ted's nine years living aboard their trawler, cruising fulltime from Maine to the Gulf of Mexico – feeding feral cats at every stop! What you might not know is that Terry was an avid Harley Davidson rider until an accident totaled her bike and broke her back.

She is currently co-facilitating a Family Violence Intervention Program working with perpetrators of violence within a home, and is also facilitating a DUI/probation group. Terry continues with her accounting skills doing some light accounting for the folks at Green Certified Energy Products and as treasurer for Build an Ark.

Mountain Light is grateful to have Terry as a member.
