Introduction for Rev. Heather Collins:

Rev. Heather Collins is responsible for the provision of pastoral care and pastoral education directing the Chaplaincy Services and the Clinical Education Program at the Atlanta Medical Center where she has served for ten years. The Atlanta Medical Center, in downtown Atlanta, is one of Georgia's three, Level I trauma centers, and is certified for 760 beds in a consolidation with South Fulton Medical Center in East Point, GA. Heather is responsible for pastoral care and pastoral education at both campuses.

Rev. Collins began her ministry in a parish in North Carolina and originally moved to Georgia when she was called to serve as the first full-time minister at the UU Congregation of Gwinnett. She was ordained there in 1995 and served until 2000 when she entered the field of professional chaplaincy and pastoral education.

Heather and David Bowen married in 2011 May, shortly following the 2011 annual Association for Clinical Pastoral Education conference in Salt Lake City, UT. During this Conference, Heather received certification as a Clinical Pastoral Education supervisor.

Rev. Collins earned a Masters of Divinity Degree from Duke University and a BA in history from Arizona State University.
