In UUnity: Greetings from Illinois

Greetings Georgia UUs,

On behalf of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb and the UUFD Vote Love team, we write to send greetings and encouragement from the state of Illinois. Georgia and its democratic processes are in the national spotlight right now with very high stakes for the state and for our nation, and we want you to know we are so encouraged to see all the good work being done on the ground to help people gain access to the ballot and make sure each vote is counted.

We know that many hands make for light work, so we also want you to know that members of our congregation are working with UU the Vote phonebanks and sending postcards to people in Georgia to get people registered before December 14 and out to the polls on or before January 5. Our individual congregants are also making financial contributions to the non-partisan organizations Regain Our Vote and Fair Fight. If you are aware of additional organizations that deserve our attention, please let us know. We would love to check them out!!

Mostly, we want to recognize that this may be a difficult time for you and your congregants, as it is for so many. We send our warm wishes for good health, and let you know that we are with you in spirit.

Warmly,
The UUFD Vote Love Team
(Kara Becker, Maylan Dunn-Kenney, Diane Johns, Rev. Linda Slabon, Toni Tollerud, & Elisa Woodruff)
