Sunday Service 2018 DEC 23

The worship service at Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church (MLUUC) in Ellijay for the morning of Sunday, 2018 December 23, will be an Edible Gift Exchange. Each congregant will bring a simple, favorite food item to give to another congregant to take home as a gift. As we give our food gifts, we will share a brief story with the congregation about why this particular food item is special to us, for example, how it reminds us of an important person, feeling, or event in our lives. We will attach a number to our gifts as we arrive, draw numbers to see who receives which gift, then tell our stories as we present our gift to the lucky person who drew our number. Gifts may be made at home or purchased. Patrick Cavigliano, one of our lay leaders at MLUUC, will lead our service on the morning of December 23 and guide the Edible Gift Exchange process.

MLUUC will also include a special music presentation in our worship service on Sunday. Molly Jennings, a member of MLUUC and a vocal music student at Kennesaw State University, will sing solo selections and help lead us in our congregational singing.

Mountain Light is located at 2502 Tails Creek Road (GA-282 West), in Ellijay GA. We are an official Welcoming Congregation of the UUA, welcoming guests of all faiths, ethnicities, and gender identifications. Fellowship with coffee and snacks begins at 10 AM, followed by the service from 10:30 to 11:30.

Youth Religious Education (RE) is offered on the second and fourth Sundays of most months; however, children are always welcome to attend our services in the sanctuary. For information about our 7 Unitarian Universalist Principles and future services, please visit mluuc.org.
