2018 DEC 09 Service

On 2018 December 09,  Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church  (MLUUC)  welcomes the Rev. Jennifer L. Dalton who will be speaking on the topic of “Sitting in the Darkness”.

“We sit in the darkness, like our ancestors, awaiting the return of the sun. As we prepare for the longest night of the year and the return of the sun, can we quietly sit in the darkness?”

Rev. Dalton was born and raised in the mountains of Virginia.  Spiritually, she was raised Mormon and Southern Baptist.  She spent four years as an aircraft technician in the USAF before completing her bachelor’s degree in political science and years later, her Master of Divinity degree from Emory’s Candler School of Theology. She is currently ordained and recognized by the Alliance of Baptists and considers herself a Unitarian Universalist Baptist and is currently working at Atlanta Medical Center as a Patient Advocate.

Mountain Light, 2502 Tails Creek Road (GA-282 West), in Ellijay, is a Welcoming Congregation.  We welcome guests of all faiths, ethnicities, and gender identifications.  Our coffee and fellowship begins at 10 AM followed by the service from 10:30 to 11:30.
