Sunday Service June 03

Our worship service at Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist (MLUUC) in Ellijay on Sunday, 3 June 2018, will be our MLUUC Annual Meeting, a vital event in the democratic leadership of our church and the collaborative pursuit of our church’s mission.  We will begin our celebration with a breakfast at 9:30, followed by the service from 10:30 to 11:30.  Please bring your favorite breakfast dish to share.  Gayle Wood, our outgoing Congregation President, will lead our Annual Meeting on this day of celebration.

Celebrating Change is the theme Gayle will present at the Annual Meeting.  All members and friends are invited to participate in the democratic process as stated in our fifth principle: “The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large.”  We will be electing seven officers for the 2018 – 2019 fiscal year, and Congregation Treasurer Terry Woehr will present our new budget.

Dr. Aimee Cribbs, Religious Education (RE) Director, has a special activity planned for school age students as June 3 is the last RE class before summer break.  Children are also welcome to attend our services in the sanctuary.

Mountain Light, 2502 Tails Creek Road (Ga Hwy 282 West), in Ellijay is a Welcoming Congregation.  We welcome guests of all faiths, ethnicities, and gender identifications.  For information about our 7 Unitarian Universalist Principles and our future services, please go to mluuc.org.

Please remember, our June 3 celebration begins at 9:30 with a pot-luck breakfast.
