Sunday Service for July 02

Rev. Hal Doster will give a sermon entitled “Core Values” for our worship service at Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church on Sunday, July 2, 2017. (Pictured above with his wife Anne.)

Rev. Doster previews his thoughts with this summary: A recent presentation by MLUUC member Bruce Wood at the Cherry Log Christian Church, along with a visit last month to St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, has refocused my attention on CORE VALUES. Teaching college courses in ethics for many years brought core values to my attention in each course. With several books recently published on core values, it appears that this renewed interest is wide spread. I went to Google for a quick look and found that in 0.93 seconds that 23,400,000 cites became available. This Sunday we will be focusing on this very current and hot topic! In preparation, please think through personal, family, business, church, community, national, and even global values you may hold. Would you call any of these “CORE VALUES”?
