Blenda Fairman and Ann Low are setting up a non-membership-based organic food coop.  Blenda’s daughter, Porter, runs a food coop in the Atlanta area and can get us the organic produce.  Since we are getting the food from Atlanta, we would need to have sufficient orders to warrant the trip, but you would not be required to order every week, or even every month.  Organic fresh food is hard to come by and is very expensive here in the mountains.  Please help us make this work!

If you are interested in participating in this venture, Blenda will have a listing of available items each Sunday and will take your order.  The tentative plan for delivery will be Wednesday afternoons at the church.

This is a great opportunity to buy specific amounts of organic produce instead of having to buy into a CSA plan. If you have questions, please send them to info@mluuc.org, and they will be forwarded to Blenda and Ann.
